preparation of epoxy alcohols from cis and trans 2-(1-cyclohexenyl cyclohexanol and 2-cyclohexylidene cyclohexanone
epoxyalcohols are useful intermediates in complex organic synthesis, and recently they have been recognized as versatile intermediates for synthesis of natural products. the treatments of cis and trans 2-(1-cyclohexenyl) cyclohexanol, separately with paranirto perbenzoic acid gave the corresponding 2-(1- cyclohexenyl) cyclohexanol oxide. on the other hand, 2-cyclohexylidene cyclohexanol oxide w...
متن کاملSelective oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone in the ionic liquid 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride.
Ionic liquid (IL) 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride was found to effectively intensify cyclohexanol oxidation and resulted in 100% conversion of cyclohexanol with 100% selectivity to cyclohexanone using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant and WO(3) as a catalyst. The effect of the IL as a solvent is discussed with the support of COSMO-RS theory.
متن کاملtert-Butyl 2-(dihydroxyboryl)pyrrole-1-carboxylate
In the title compound, C(9)H(14)BNO(4), the carbonyl and boronic acid groups are essentially coplanar with the pyrrole ring and the boronic acid group has an exo-endo conformation. The exo-oriented OH is engaged in an intra-molecular O-H⋯O inter-action, while the endo-oriented one is involved in inter-molecular hydrogen bonding to form centrosymmetric dimers. A supra-molecular assembly is achie...
متن کاملtert-Butyl 1-hydroxypiperidine-2-carboxylate
The title compound, C(10)H(19)NO(3), is a disubstituted piperidine bearing substituents in two equatorial positions. One of the substituents is a hy-droxy group bound to nitro-gen and the second a tert-butyl ester group bound to the carbon next to the endocyclic nitro-gen. Enanti-omers of the title compound form hydrogen-bridged dimers across a center of inversion.
متن کاملOxidation of Cyclohexanone and Cyclohexanol to Adipic Acid Using Hydrogen Peroxide and Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
Supercritical carbon dioxide and hydrogen peroxide was used in the oxidation for exploring a clean and efficient process to produce adipic acid. Supercritical carbon dioxide would be both a solvent and reactant in combination with aqueous hydrogen peroxide, which made the oxidation be possible through the formation of peroxycarbonic acid as the intermediate oxidizer. The effects of temperature ...
